This Training is to meet the initial offshore safety and emergency response training requirements for personnel new (or returning) to the offshore oil and gas industry who will be supplied with a rebreather emergency breathing system (EBS) during offshore helicopter travel.

Information

This Training introduces learners to the specific safety issues and regimes relevant to offshore installations and to equip them with the basic emergency response knowledge and skills for travelling to and from offshore installations by helicopter.

No formal prerequisites required for this initial training course.

This course includes physical activities, and learners must be medically fit to participate. Learners must hold a valid offshore or employer-approved medical, a recognised fitness-to-work-at-sea or diving medical, and/or complete an OPITO medical screening form at SEQU. Learners are responsible for declaring any medical conditions that may affect their participation.
